Gah! can't sleep. The main reason for this is that my sciatica is hurting so much I can't move with out flinching in pain and making noise. It just took about 3 minutes to get out of bed. I have now taken a painkiller (washed down with stale blue panda pop) so hopefully it should ease off a bit.

However, I do feel in an odd mood in general.

I had a busy and fun weekend. On Friday it was Batfink which was great fun but seemed to slip away far to quickly. plym enjoyed himself and thanks people for their kind comments and praise of him.

Saturday saw me burning my mouth on a prawn dumpling (which is still hurting) and also the first Synthetic of the academic year which was also great fun.

On Sunday I bought juice and bread.

Today I feel very reluctant to leave the house and go into town. The thought of going to Job Center Plus is somehow rather un-tempting.

Yesterday as is the custom of a Tuesday a visit to The Nelson took place, were upon a foul selection of drinks were consumed. After, I went with a large group of people to the new gay club Fuel. I fear Fuel may well be the death of Dempsys which is actually probably a good thing. They had those nasty Corky's shots on offer which have made me feel so ill at Batfink in the past. Of course I am so clever I went and had some dirty cola ones, the result was unpleasant.

Today sleeping_flower, itom, ichthy and I went to see A History of Violence at the Showroom which I enjoyed.

Here is a website some of you may enjoy Liquid Gold. I had an elderly neighbour who swore by it.

Fridays Offbeat was alot of fun even though the button fell off my trousers (thanks to mervin for lending my his belt and beattiedee for helping a drunken Mo to put it on) and I may have been a little too tipsy. The amount I drink no longer seems to be the major factor in how drunk I will get. Sometimes I will drink very little and bee quite drunk other times I can drink loads and be pretty sober.Odd.

Yesterday our next door neighbors got broken into at 3 in the afternoon which is unsettling.

As some of you may know tomorrow I have an interview to be a Trainee Baker/Confectioner which should be interesting.

Yesterday a visit to Corporation nightclub took place. I spent most of it talking to a young man whom I am meeting for a drink tomorrow. This terrifies me.

Pizza Pan & Grills new menu popped through our letter box this afternoon (Whilst I reclined on the lounger chair watching Inspector Morse) and contained several mysterious choices including Spar Ribs and Cheese and onion which was listed in side orders, so one can only assume it would be a vessel containing solely cheese and onions...

Mr sciatica has decided to pay a little visit this evening and has been a bastard.

Got back from Edinburgh on Saturday in time to go to craporation which was a good and a bad thing. Yesterday I went to bed at 10pm and awoke today at 12.23pm. For some reason this* led to my mind not working properly and generally feeling dizzy and disconnected. I feel a little better now but of course not well enough to tidy my beastly room.

Tomorrow brings great joy for it is OFFBEAT and I have missed it greatly.

*It may well of been some other factor.

Today I had a full day. This rarely happens as I tend to waste days. This morning ichthy, his sister and I went to a Henri Cartier- Bresson exhibition which was lovely and induced small squeals of delight from me. He truley is a master of the art. I also had 2 meals out, went to the cinema, browsed shops and went to 4 different bars/pubs. In these activities I indulged myself inthe scottish treats of having a pint of Tennants and a pizza with haggis on.

Tired now. Home Tomorrow.

Today I walked around Edinburgh for about 7 hours and I think pretty much went in every record shop I could find and some book shops. I wanted to go to the Dean Gallery to see the Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibition but failed to find it, oh well there is always tomorrow.

Upon waking up I seem to have a cold. I don't want a cold. I especially don't want a cold because I am going to Edinburgh with ichthy tomorrow.

Today I went to the doctors and dully found out I had yet again made the mistake of seeing the doctor whom I hate. She distressingly looks like this lady. I told her about my recent sleep problems to which she retorted "I hope you are not lying in bed in the mornings" I queried as to why that was so wrong if I had not got to sleep until 5 am? "well you wont be able to get to sleep at 10 pm" she shrilled. At this point I did want to slap her, does she think the reason I cant get to sleep is because I lounge in bed all day then try to go to bed at 10 pm? This is the same fool who suggested not taking my anti depressants to "see what happens", today though she has raised the dose.

After that I had a bit of business in town, the filthy stifling heat and abundance of babies was rather unpleasant. Despite all of this I feel rather joyful today.

Tonight a trip to the Nelson is in order.

Also does anyone know about paying in a foreign cheque?

Today I went to Morrisons for fun. I like Morrisons it has lots of odd things and a massive amount of space dedicated to bread products and a fantastic selection of cheese. They also had Absolute Vodka on offer and 3 kinds of fruit beer.

There and back it took about 3 hours*, I really should have better things do in my life.

Tonight I shall get to sleep before stupid o clock, for of course I need my beauty sleep** for Batfink tomorrow!

* There was that bike race thing holding the buses up as well.
**I look crap however much I sleep.

Bank Holiday Special

As is customary of a bank holiday I filled mine with little treats. sleeping_flower and me treated ourselves to a little day trip. We made our way into town and boarded the 33 bus to Chancet Wood. We had been on this trip before but it was a cold dark early evening and we could not see it well and dared not walk in the woods. Today however we took a stroll in a sparse piece of woodland in which we found a small plastic bag of poo. When we emerged from the wood we found ourselves on a road in Meadowhead and went to a generic looking pub for a soft drink. We then went into the local Spar and browsed the reduced basket and I bought 2 scratch cards which both won £1 which was silly. When we arrived back in town we managed to secure some bargains from Sainsburys reduced section including a fattening Smoked Bacon flamme (Taste the difference) for 40p.

If this were not enough I later ventured out with sleeping_flower and itom to buy cake from Spar. We got ice cream as well. After the feast we all felt a little sick.

On Friday me, sleeping_flower and itom went to Corporation (of which a few pictures are here http://janie.fotopic.net/c668155_1.html). We met up with filtre and I believe drinking and dancing took place. On getting back home we found we had no key to get in and after falling over and pondering the situation we hosted poor itom up the drain pipe and got in through a window. There was a random man as well.

On Saturday evening I went up to Blake Street for a little less drunken drinky. I was made a lovely bacon sandwich and it was indeed a pleasant evening.

Generally I am still feeling very tired.
